  • I-84 Westbound Closed at Hood River Due to Major Crash | (Released: 2/13/25) | WEB STORY

My Roles: Wrote, edited, distributed, and collaborated with onsite emergency responders and road crews. Also served as the primary media contact for Region 1 (Portland Metro).

Description: Alerting drivers and the public of the 40-plus vehicle crash during winter conditions which closed westbound I-84 for hours. In addition, I did multiple broadcast media hits in ongoing coverage of this incident which made national headlines.

Description: Provided advance notice on major traffic impacts caused by construction on the Abernethy Bridge.

Description: Press Release announcing the resolution of Gonzaga’s rumored move to the Mountain West Conference by new scheduling and revenue sharing protocols adopted by the conference’s President’s Council.

  • University of San Francisco Athletic Director Resigns | STORY (Released: 9/10/10)

My Roles: Wrote, Edited, Posted Online, Served as department main point of media contact 

Description: Press Release announcing the resignation of a singularly controversial athletic director at the University of San Francisco.

*NOTABLE: I was intrinsically involved in the crisis communications plans and strategies at both the University of San Francisco and, most recently, at the West Coast Conference. While at USF I implemented specific plans for coach and administrator firing/resignation announcements and limited damage control plans. While at the WCC I was involved with disciplinary actions (conference to institution/program), rumors surrounding conference realignment (real and imagined) and COVID-19 messaging and scheduling impacts. The detailed crisis communications plans I worked on from a development and strategy standpoint at the WCC, in particular COVID related documents, are unavailable and considered proprietary. 

REPRESENTATIVE WORK WITH BROADCAST MEDIA

  • Pepperdine Men’s Golf Broadcast Notes | WEB STORY (Released: 6/2/21)

My Roles: Wrote, researched, edited, distributed, and collaborated with broadcast media partners and crews to ensure accurate information was shared consistently.

Description: This release was primarily geared towards ESPN broadcast crew producing the 2021 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship coverage and chronicled storylines and notables on Pepperdine’s run to the title

Complete Broadcast Show | WATCH (Released: 10/10/20)

My Roles: Wrote, researched, edited, distributed, scheduled interviews, managed personnel, and prepared broadcast host for segments on all 20 WCC men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Description: This is one of 28 interviews I coordinated for use in the 2020 WCC Basketball Preview Show which aired on Regional Sports Network partners (ROOT Sports, NBC SportsNet, Comcast SportsNet, etc.). Segments were captured for all 20 programs and distributed via social channels.

REPRESENTATIVE VIDEO WORK

  • USF Celebrates the legendary 1951 USF Dons Football Team | WATCH 

(Released: 1.5.12)

My Roles: Wrote, Researched, Coordinated Interviews, Provided Context, Secured Archival images and footage and helmed the project. (*Voice over done by Morgan Freeman)

Description: This was a celebration of USF’s legendary 1951 “Unbeaten, Untied, Uninvited” Football Team. This video was used during the 50-year anniversary of the season and played live at halftime of the 2012 Emerald Bowl and the Tostitos Bowl. 

  • 2019 WCC Hall of Honor Inductee Aly Wagner (Santa Clara) | WATCH 

(Released: 3/28/20) 

My Roles: Wrote, researched, prepared host and coordinated broadcast elements for the entire 2019 award show held at the 2019 WCC Basketball Championships in Las Vegas.

Description: During our annual awards show recognizing the best and brightest student-athletes to have ever represented the WCC, I prepared information and promotional materials for the host and each of the 10 interview subjects.

*NOTABLE: I was not responsible for editing/producing video while at the University of San Francisco or the West Coast Conference. While at USF I established and oversaw the birth of the digital network there and heavily collaborated with the WCC Network during my tenure at the WCC. Quality writing and planning are essential components of professionally produced video and these were the areas I contributed most.

SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS – REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLING

My Roles: Wrote, researched, prepared content release and execution plans for website and social media platforms. Collaborated with WCC Network and institutions to develop a comprehensive release strategy for the shared digital content.

Description: Campaign designed to showcase WCC alumni as they prepared for the 2021 NBA Draft. It was a record-setting night for the WCC with two first round selections and a second round pick. This content was broadly shared by Gonzaga MBB social channels (200K followers).

My Roles: Wrote, researched, prepared content release and digital execution strategy for website and social media platforms. Collaborated with WCC Network on the #OlympiansMadeHere initiative.

Description: Campaign which primarily focused on the Instagram and Instagram Stories platforms. The program was designed to celebrate the past and current Olympic success of student-athletes and coaches from member institutions. This content was shared broadly by institutions with competing Olympians and by the USOC.
